July 4th

We had such a great 4th of July. We were sad to see it end. The kids had a great time swimming and the adults had a blast too. Grayson is getting braver and braver everyday. He was actually swimming on his own (with his ducky arm floaty thing of course) He really made me so proud. He has really come a long way this so far this summer. He was pretty scared of the water in May. Which totally shocked me because he is usually very fearless. We have been working with him a lot and little by little he is getting better and better.....I think we may have a little fishy on our hands. We haven't been able to get back in the pool since the 4th since it has been raining....bummer! But hopefully the sun will come out today and we can go swimming. Grayson keeps asking to go to Granna's pool. He's getting to be such a big boy.

Grayson's Uncle James Lewis bought him this Jet Ski when he was just a baby. We finally bought batteries for it and blew it up. He LOVED it. he did such a good job driving it around the pool. It doesn't go fast at all which is great and he know he is supposed to wear his floaties before he can ride it.

We went to Birmingham to watch the fireworks at Vulcan. We had a great spot on a parking deck near UAB so the boys could run around. Everyone had such a great time. The fireworks were pretty. Grayson was amazed. Aunt shell bought all the kids American flags, Grayson was so excited to get his, I didn't think he ever put it down. He is still playing with it today.
I was very surprised that the boys did so good since it was so late. The fireworks didn't start until 9:00 and we didn't get Grayson into bed until around 11:00.....woo that was late. Luckily the boys took a late nap so I think that helped.
I know I have not posted in a while so I have some catching up to do. A catch up post is coming soon.
I hope everyone enjoyed their 4th of July. We had the best time celebrating our freedom and the birthday of our beautiful county. I can't wait for many more 4th of July's with Tommy and Grayson.
