Christmas 2010

Since I am playing catch up and I may never get caught up. I thought I could share pictures from our Christmas. This was Ashlyn's first Christmas. I don't think she really knew what was going on. We had a good Christmas, but as usual it flew by. This first group of pictures is of the weeks before Christmas. Tommy received a Turk-Duck-en from his employees. It is a Turkey stuffed with a duck stuffed with a chicken. We have not tried it yet but we have heard they are really good.

The pictures below are from Granny Agnes' 90th birthday party. She was so excited to have her party. It was good to see everyone. Doesn't Granny Agnes look so pretty! She loves to get all dressed up, such a lady!!!!!! Grayson just loves her to pieces and he can't wait to go back and see her again.

These pictures below are from our Christmas on the Ammons' side. We all get together at Lori and Tim's house and Lori and Pam cook a big lunch. The food is always sooooo good. Those ladies can cook that is for sure.. Wish I had a plate full right now! Grayson enjoyed playing with Anna Kate and he always loves spending time with Uncle Tim. Ashlyn even warmed up to Tim some. We had a great time as always at LoLo and Tim's.

The pictures below are from our time with the Yeomans' side. We always have a good time with them. Aunt Wanda exposed Ashlyn to her first Christmas cookie, which was a huge hit. Ashlyn tried a little pole dancing on Granny Greats floor lamp, lol! Grayson gave Uncle Hasten a hug that we thought was going to last forever. He just would not let go of Hasten.

These pictures are from our time with the Smith side. It was so good to have everyone together but we missed my Daddy. Bless his heart he was so sick with a fever and everything else. We didn't get to see Daddy until a couple of weeks later. The kids had a blast playing.

These are pictures from our day at Mom and Tony's. They cooked breakfast for us and we enjoyed exchanging gifts. The breakfast was awesome. We had a great time.

These pictures are from Christmas Eve at my Aunt Maryanne's. We had a great time. It's always fun when that side gets together. Our family is so big so it is always like a party. The kids enjoyed dancing and Santa came to visit too.

On Christmas Eve morning, Grayson and I made cookies for Santa. We had so much fun.

Christmas Morning.......Santa Came and brought presents. Grayson was sooooo excited! We had a great time just us.

Brother and Sister

These two children have a very special bond, a bond that only a brother and sister can have. I am so lucky that I get to watch this bond grow everyday. Grayson LOVES his sister and she LOVES him too. He is so sweet to her and tries to help me take care of her everyday. Sometimes I have to tell him to just let me be the Momma and he can just be the brother. I thank God everyday for our two precious babies.

Back to Blogging

It has been forever since I have blogged. I guess being a stay at home mom to two very busy young ones has well...kept me very busy. I have decided to try the 365 day blog thing. My goal (which I know I am setting myself up to fail) is to blog everyday. It may be just a picture with no words or it may be a huge post. I am going to try to do better. Our kids are doing the cutest things and saying the cutest things that if I don't blog about it and record it, I will surely forget everything.
Alot has happened since I last blogged. Ashlyn is walking and Grayson is such a big boy. They both amaze me everyday. Grayson is such a smart, sweet boy. He is in K3 preschool two days a week and seems to love it. I'm finally getting used to being a Stay At Home Mom, although we still are not on a good schedule. Ashlyn still is not on a good nap schedule but she sleeps well at night so I guess I'll take that. Grayson takes great naps but fights bedtime with everything he has.
My Granny passed away in October, which was very bitter sweet. I miss her terribly. She and I were so close. She was my rock and she encouraged me in everything I did. It didn't matter what I did she was always there. I could ALWAYS count on her. I am so greatful that I had her in my life. At first after loosing her I felt so lost. Things would happen and I would reach for the phoen to call her and tell her, even the smallest thing, but I couldn't.....that was so hard. But I know she is happy and in heaven. She is not hurting anymore. She is with our sweet Jesus and with my PawPaw. Probably giving PawPaw a hard time.
Well, enough sad stuff.......I am going to try to blog more. We'll see how it goes.......

Ashlyn's 12 month Photos

I'm so glad I took Ashlyn's picture every month. It's amazing to see how much she has grown. I wish I would have done this with Grayson. It's hard to believe that our baby girl is a year old. She is the sweetest little girl and she is very much a Momma's baby.

Grayson's 3rd Birthday

I can not believe that my sweet baby boy is three years old. He is growing too fast. We are so proud of him.

Grayson, Your Daddy and I are so blessed to have you in our lives and we can't image our lives without you. You are a ray of sunshine, you make us smile and laugh daily. You amaze us every day with how smart you are and how fast you are learning. You are growing up so fast, I wish you would slow down just a little bit. We love you very very much. I hope you had a wonderful birthday weekend.
